When i first devoured ggk’s output, tigana was the one i enjoyed least (although still enjoyed! – easily a 4 star read at the time). This was the late 90s, i was 20 and only just beginning to explore authors i hadn’t grown up with; ggk stole my heart but i had a lot of growing up to do personally and as a reader – so i found arbonne, al-rassan, fionavar easier to digest.
